Abstract

Hermeneutika itu berbeda dengan tafsir atau pun ta'wil dalam tradisi Islam. Hermeneutika tidak sesuai untuk kajian al-Qur'an, baik dalam arti teologis atau filosofis. Dalam arti teoIogis, hermeneutika akan berakhir dengan mempersoalkan ayat-ayat yang zahir dari al-Qur'an dan menganggapnya sebagai problematik. Diantara kesan hermeneutika teologis ini adalah adanya keragu-raguan terhadap Mushaf Utsmani yang telah dlsepakati oleh seluruh kaum Muslimin, baik oleh Muslim Sunni ataupun Syi'ah, sebagai "textus receptus."
