Abstract

Tulisan ini mendiskusikan kemungkinan untuk mendekatkan kajian agama yang berbasis wahyu dengan keilmuan lain yang berbasis ilmu empiris, khususnya tentang kajian hadis. Dengan menelaah pemikiran Prof. Syamsul Anwar, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan integratif-interkonektif mampu menjembatani dan saling melengkapi kedua tradisi di atas. Namun demikian, pendekatan integratif memerlukan prasyarat yang terlalu berat, seperti restrukturisasi ilmu baik dari segi paradigma, teori, dan metode, sehingga memerlukan kajian yang lebih intensi. Sedangkan pendekatan interkonektif lebih tepat dipergunakan untuk kajian hadis kontemporer saat ini, yang akan akan menghasilkan empat fungsi: komplementasi, konfirmasi, kontribusi, dan komparasi.
